Well, we took the plunge and moved Drew into his Big Boy bed on Saturday night. To our surprise the night went pretty well. Only after around 10 minutes of whining he went to sleep and it has been that way ever since. I am so glad we got the bed a couple months ahead of time because I think that helped the transition go smoothly....we had it set up in the basement and kept referring to it as his bed.
Now, tonight we added his belated birthday present from us.. a TRAIN TABLE. Are you asking, why we decided to wait a couple days??? Let, me explain when we were visiting my sister-in-law, Erin, and her family for Thanksgiving Drew had 3 1/2 fun filled days of straight train table play. It is ALL he wanted to do from sun up to sun down! So, with that said we thought he should get use to his new bed before we introduced the train table.

You will notice the first picture is of a purple car bed and the second a yellow. I had bought the purple one a couple months ago because the deal was to sweet to pass up on Craig's List. As we looked at it in his room the last couple of days it just didn't go and I didn't know how I was going to decorate around it. So, needless to say I went on Craig's List again last night and found a yellow one for the same price. I must say I am glad I made the switch!! So, be looking for the purple one to go up on Craig's List tonight.
Once I get some basic decorations made and up I will post more pictures.
