Jumpin Jack Flash & Special Visitors!

Hello All.. this has been a wonderful week overall with some great moments. First, we had special visitors from Washington... Grandma & Grandpa Hagerhjelm. We had a wonderful time with them, which definitely makes us miss living close to them! So, below you will find a couple pics from their visit.

Grandma & Drew

(check out grandma's dimple, David and his Mom both have it. I think Drew has it as well...yippee I was hoping he would).Family Pic @ Steak & Shake!

We have had a great week with sleeping at night, Wednesday night he slept 10 hours. He is gradually increasing his hours on his own, we have just started to slowly move the schedule earlier every so many days because he always seems to wake around the same time no matter when he goes down. We are still struggling with naps, okay well... he is really not taking them. We have increased his feeding amounts to see if that works (added back one more bottle of formula), and tomorrow he will have his first cereal to see if it helps his daytime routine. I really wanted to wait until he was 6 months, but after talking to lots of people I feel good about this decision.

Lastly, since Andrew turned four months this past Wednesday, we got him a Jumperoo.. we purchased exactly the one we wanted from Craig's List, LOVE IT!! It is in great condition and we paid a lot less then if we had bought it in a store. You will just love the video of him in it.. by the way this is the first video we have taken that actually captures his laugh!

Anyhow, enjoy the pics and the video!!

Spring has Sprung!

We took our first trip to the park last Friday.. the sun was shining bright, it was so nice out. Although the ground was still a little wet we were still able to spend some time outside with Drew. Here are a couple pics from our visit.

HAPPY EASTER!!

We want to wish you all a Happy Easter weekend, as we celebrate our risen Lord!!

Drew decided to do a little modeling for me.. okay I decided! At one point I put him in an Easter Basket, well lets just say that did not go to well as he cried, I didn't realize the basket was scratching behind his knees.. what a bad Mom moment, plus I did not even get a good pic.. I am sure you will like a ones below!

Roller Coaster Ride!!

Hey Family and Friends.. Well I am writing this as I hear my little guy screaming in the next room with David. He is trying to put him to sleep tonight and it is just not going so well. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband who helps with no question and doesn't give up. I just know David will be his role model..

So, have you ever felt like you go 10 steps forward then 10 steps back? Andrew has overall been sleeping pretty good at night at 8-9 hours without waking. However, the catch is he will do this for about 4 days then for 2 days he wakes frequently crying. I think I have to chalk it up to teething (drooling and chewing is a give-away). I am so amazed at how fast time flies, it is so hard for me to believe he is already teething. It just breaks your heart when your little one is in pain. We gave him Motrin the other night and he spit it up.. I was so afraid to give him more because I don't know how much stayed in his system. I hope he does not get that from me as I have never been able to take liquid medicine. It seems once you think you get it figured out the wind changes... hmmmm I have heard that is how it happens!

Our main focus right now is getting the little booger to take naps, which has been WAY harder then getting him to sleep through the night. We have read articles, books, and asked for advice..so far nothing has worked. The worst is when his little eyes are so red from being tired. I am not going to give up and I know we will break his nap code. Today he took one 1 1/2 hour nap, whoo hoo!!

We are just taking parenthood day by day.. there are so many more wonderful moments then difficult ones. I just love looking at Drew, he is such a miracle! Through our roller coaster ride lots of other things have taken the backseat... so bare with me as I may not email or call back as quickly as I once did. My priority is that sweet little boy and I would not have it any other way! We are truly blessed!

I attached a cute picture and video.. with teething comes some fun things. This Raspberry teething pacifier is from my friend Angela... he loves it.

Until we meet again, Christie

Anyhow, I am working on getting some good family pics to decorate with, so I am attaching a couple I took the last couple weeks. You probably already noticed the new one on the main page. By the way I love black & white pictures, so you will see some favorites below, which will also be displayed in my home. Enjoy!!

A Few Of Drew's Favorite Things!

Wow! Two posts in one day.. A couple things Andrew loves to do, even if for a short time, is take a bath & more recently tummy time. I could not resist sharing these pictures with you..

BATH TIME

TUMMY TIME

These are all three month pictures..

Winter Wonderland!

We have been fortunate to have a pretty moderate winter in the Midwest so far, which is GREAT! I love having the four distinct seasons, however I could do without winter primarily because of snow. Anyhow, back to the point.. a couple days ago we were smack dab in the middle of the snow storm instead of being on the outskirts, so needless to say we were dumped on with around 10" of snow, which has pretty much melted already. See pics below:
