PLEASE PRAY!!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge them, and He will make your paths straight." Prov 3:5-6

I know this is not a typical post for me, but my heart is beyond broken today for my friends. Our Senior Pastor was fired this week and how it all happened is beyond understanding.

So, please pray for our friends Steve & Courtney and their three little girls. We are all very hurt and heartbroken! Join me in praying for God to rectify this situation in His way. My God is a big God and I truly believe is his grace! God blessed us with their friendship, and to think of the possibility of not having them around is unfathomable.
PRAY YOUR HEARTS OUT!!! This family needs it big time!

"COOL" DUDE!!

Auntie Neah Neah & Dawn have blessed us with a few visits over the last few months. On their last trip they brought him some sun glasses and at first I thought there is no way he is going to keep these on, but he proved me wrong. He is such a stud when he wears them...

Enjoy some fun pics..

"RING, RING.... Hello!"

Drew loves, loves, loves the phone. He always thinks it is "Daddy" even if he is sitting right next to him, so silly! If the phone is left within his reach it will be in his hands immediately. He has also recently learned how to open it and of course push buttons. So far he has called my friend Angela and David more than once.

Boatin' Down the Mississippi!!

The boat pictures have finally arrived. My Aunt Sharon & Uncle Tom were gracious to offer us a ride down the Mississippi River on their beautiful Pontoon Boat. This was Drew's first boating experience. He wasn't sure about it at first, especially when he had the life jacket on. Once we were out on the smooth water we took the jacket off and he was like a whole new boy.

It was a perfect day to be out on the river. The water was like glass and the temp was awesome. We rode around for about an hour, then stopped at a restaurant called Ducky's (which was yucky), then back on the boat for the trip back. Drew loved it, he ran up and down the boat (no worries we were not going to fast), and at one point I thought Teddy was going to take a swim, thanks Grandpa Bob for encouraging it. Drew absolutely loved watching the passing boats... you knew when he spotted one because all of a sudden he would say "Ooooooo," in a very excited tone!

Once we arrived back to the dock, Uncle Tom showed Drew a Catfish he had caught. Drew was more upset about his feet in the sand & water then the fish. I think the jury is still out on the fish.

Anyhow, it was a wonderful day and now Drew says boat...okay so maybe boa... Enjoy the pics from our day!

MORE IOWA FUN...

Okay, I am a little behind sharing some fun pics from Iowa, so I will try to fit everything in this one post... here goes:

Drew loved his new wagon from Uncle Jim & Aunt Amanda! He could have sat in it forever. He also got the chance to sit on Grandpa's lawnmower, although you will see he doesn't look to happy he actually really liked it. I don't think it had anything to do with the lawnmower at all, the truth is, it allowed him to sit up higher and see the passing cars better... what a silly boy!

Grandma Linda & Grandpa Bob live on a main road in Muscatine, IA, so Drew could sit outside or at their front window forever because of all the passing cars driving by and an occasional train...every boy's Dream! Enjoy the pics!!

Grandpa's Lawnmower

Quickly figuring out he has to climb the fence to get closer to the cars...scary!

Visit with Brooklyn & Gabe
This pic cracks me up because it totally shows Brooklyn fighting over Drew. She just wanted to push Drew in the wagon so bad. So cute!!
Daddy's Shoulder Ride around the yard!
Cute Video.. .I am just trying to get him to say "I see cars" and he knows the camera is rolling so he does not perform...still a cute video!

One of the highlights of the trip for me, reconnecting with friends! A night of Karaoke!!
Okay so I am going to save Drew's first boat ride for a blog all its own because there are way to many cute pictures and I didn't want to overload you, LOL!! Stay tuned!

OUR GROWING BOY!!

Drew had is 18 Month Dr.'s appt today and we were yet again blown away by how fast, literally, our little man is growing. Let me first say he was chatting (flirting) with the nurses and Dr, plus chasing one down the hall. They all commented on how they couldn't believe how verbal he was! That could be trouble!!

The doctor said, "He is Bright!" Yeah we know...LOL!! God truly blessed us with this little man, and we are reminded of that every day.

Since the 18 Month Post last week Drew is now...

SAYING:
"I See Cars" or "I See Geese"
"Ewwwwweeee"
"Cool"
"Mama's Car"
"Choo Choo"

DOING:
*Putting keys where they go, like he can pretty much put the keys in the truck door and front door.

*Have I told you before that I can put him down in a parking lot and he will find my truck every time? I tell him "find Mommy's truck and touch the wheel." RIGHT! everytime!

*Running really quickly in place, in which I reply "Flash Dance." For those of you who have seen that movie you will know what I am talking about... hint...I'm a Maniac!

*When he sees a helicopter, big truck, or airplane you will suddenly hear a big "Ooooooo" out of him. He gets so excited!

OKAY....NOW FOR WHAT YOU SO PATIENTLY WAITED FOR... STATS!!!

Let's just start by saying he was off the charts in height..

HEIGHT: 35.75" - off chart (this is 2.25" up from his Feb 15 mo appt, they had to measure him three times to get an accurate number)

WEIGHT: 29.2 lbs -75% (this was a pretty big jump, up 4.2 lbs from Feb/15 mo appt)

HEAD: Okay this one is off somewhere... today they said 19.29," which means it shrunk from Feb where it was 19.5". Crazy I know... it is the one measurement that is not consistent!

So, needless to say Drew is very healthy and right on schedule and even ahead of schedule in a few areas. So my prediction we are going to have a very tall, handsome, smarty pants!!

The next couple posts will be catch up from our trip to Iowa. So much to do, so little time.
Anyhow, we had a great trip, and believe it or not Drew did not get sick going or coming... YEAH!! Many of you know the purpose of this trip was to celebrate my Grandma's 90th Birthday (May 28th)! She had a such a great time visiting with everyone and she even posed for every picture I told her to... Gotta love her! She had over 100 people come and go and received tons of cards, which just tickled her.

I was running around taking pictures for her (shhh... I am putting together a photo book to surprise her with). Here is a small taste of the pics from the day!
