Familiar Face, Or Not???

I have been working on this post for a couple months, I know you are probably thinking, what could have taken so long? All I can say is I have been so slow in scanning pictures, not that it takes that long to do, it is just a motivation issue. So, I thought Drew is turning 10 months this weekend, so what better time than now. Below I have posted Drew, David, and my Newborn pictures, 1 month old pics, and 5 months old pics. I can personally see how he has gone back and forth between the both of us, so let me know what you think!

Isn't this fun?! I will try to do this again when Drew turns one to see how he has changed! We are so blessed by this handsome little man and I love to look through pictures to see how God made him a perfect mix of both David and me.

I'M 10 MONTHS OLD TODAY!!

Howdy everyone, this is a mega posting week for me, but I have so much to share. I am trying to spread it out for you!

Today marks Drew's 10 month birthday and he decided to yet again surprise us.. He has pulled himself up here and there, but not often. So, today he decided he really liked to pull himself up and started doing it ALL day. I even found him standing in his crib for the first time this morning....TROUBLE! I tell you what when our little man figures something out he just goes for it 110%!

Hello Mommy, Look what I can do!

If you look real close you can see his bottom teeth!

This is Drew's cheater stand/walk just two days ago...

Animal "Wrestling"

I have to give kudos to Bella & Mia for putting up with Drew. He just loves them both so much and is getting braver with each passing day. Now, Bella has always loved children, so it is normal for her to grin and bare it with Drew being rough, but the big surprise is Mia is also putting up with it more and more. The other day I even heard her purring, weird! For those of you who know our cat she is not the most social butterfly, so Drew must be winning her heart. Enjoy the pics and short video below...I guarantee you will feel for our furry kids!

WELCOME TO MY "100th" POST!

WOW! I can't believe this is officially my 100th post. I guess that means I have a lot to say or I have a babbling problem...hmmmm! I love blogging because it is such a great forum to share my thoughts, ideas, and of course show off my handsome little man. Thank you all for continuing to read my endless babble.

Drew gets funnier with each passing day. He is such a ham, I wonder where he gets that from. He is quickly learning what "Cheese" means as you will see in the pictures below. I really think he must have known today I would be writing my 100th post because he pulled out a little extra ham today. So, I hope you get a chuckle out of these pictures and videos from earlier. I am still waiting for that great tooth shot, but I'll get it no worries!!

So let me lead you into these crib pictures. I found Drew like this when I went to get him up from his morning nap. He was peaking through the crib with his legs hanging out. Now, I must tell you this is a first, so I quickly ran to get my camera before he decided to change positions. Lately when I get the camera out I get the face below..cute huh?!

Now onto the next picture...what can I say the boy does not sit still. I had just finished changing his diaper and was in the process of grabbing an outfit from the closet, which is right next to his changing table. The little stinker, flipped within seconds and as you can see he thought it was very cute.

And the funny doesn't stop there... Today he decided he would just climb over Bella to get what he wanted. Bella follows him everywhere, I think its because she thinks he always has food to drop for her? Hmm..... He played like this for awhile and she just sat there.

What can you say about this face... just cute!

"CHEESE" This video didn't turn out at all like I planned but it makes me giggle!

Andrew is doing some of his tricks for you in this video (his new sound & waving)

Well, that concludes my 100th post! Stay tuned for the next 100!!

Daddy's Day Out!

We, Drew & I, sent David off to the Scott Airforce Base Airshow today. He was planning to go yesterday where my friend Leslie's husband Phil and David's friend Scott were going to join him, but the weather spoiled their plans. So, after church today the weather was quite nice, so I suggested he go and enjoy some planes... Even though he went alone I know he liked it, anyone who knows him knows he loves planes...watching planes was our first date after all!! So enjoy the videos and pics, don't ask me what they are because I will just say planes & stuff... I am posting the ones I think are cool!!

A Week of Firsts!!

Wow, this week has been a week of new developments with our little man child. Right before I left of IL last weekend we finally felt a tooth, and within a couple days we felt a second. They both seem to be coming in fast as lighting. So far nursing is still going well, which means little man is not biting...yeah for me. If you look real close you can see the two teeth coming in. I know God is in control and all, but I wish I could convince him to slow time down a little...but no worries I am catching every moment x's a million, he he he!!

Drew's other new development happened just today when My Mom, Step-Dad, Aunt Sharon & Uncle Tom stopped by for a brief visit on their way to Memphis. He took his first steps with a toy his Auntie Erin gave him. He has been playing with it for awhile, but today he proved he is one step closer to independence....eek! I think it is so cool he did it today for Grandma Linda & Grandpa Bob, the timing couldn't have been better!! Enjoy!

Please Pray!!

I received a call this evening that my long time friend Janine passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. I have known her and her family since I was around 5 as she was part of of my dance studio growing up. Many of you know I competed in a lots of pageants & dance competitions growing up. Well it would not have even been possible without Janine and her family because they took me everywhere along with my adopted little sister Betsy. This family has had a huge influence on my life!

I am so glad I got to see Janine at my baby shower a year ago this month. She is truly going to be missed! The worst thing is I am not sure where she was with God, since my life has taken me so many different directions in the last 10 years, which is heartbreaking. So, please pray for their family and us as we will be making the trip back to Iowa this week sometime for the service. This is the closest person in my life who has passed, so I expect it to be very difficult.

Thanks for your prayers and thoughts!!

Apple Festival Parade

During our visit to Carbondale, we all went to the Apple Festival parade in Murphysboro, which is a neighboring town. This was both Drew & Katelyn's first parade, I think Drew really enjoyed it even though it was around 2 hours long. Despite not having a morning nap he held up very well. Katelyn on the other hand, slept right through it, so it was everything she could dream of, he he he....

On Our Way! Getting those fingers nice and ready!
When is the parade gonna start, huh huh?

Forget it I'm going to sleep...
It's about time...

Drew watching the parade, waving his flag, and eating a graham cracker, what a multi-tasker!

Drew's visit with Katelyn

Drew and I just returned home from a weekend visit with his future wife, Katelyn...isn't she a cutie! Where does the time go, she is 2 1/2 months old! It was so fun spending time with her and of course my BFF Leslie and her husband Phil.

It was so funny because when we were out and about with the kids they would egg each other on in the backseat, by Drew growling then Katelyn crying. One of my favorite things about the weekend was seeing Katelyn's big smiles and having deep conversations with her.

Here are just a few shots with the two of them... My report on Drew's first parade next!

Drew's new thing...."Cheese!" Sweet!!

"Gimme that pacifier, that's mine, right?!"

EXCITED!! NEW BLOG HERE!!

It is very rare that I post something non-family related, but I thought this would be appropriate. Since moving to the Midwest my business rebuilding has been slow, so I thought... in this rebuilding time what a perfect opportunity I have to work on growing the technical side of my stamp business. So, this past week I launched a blog open to everyone that will share samples, ideas, creativity, and more. The reason I am sharing this with all of you is because I thought some of you would enjoy it and hopefully by the end of the month it will also have a store attached, which will have my hand-made products for sale ranging from cards, home decor, photo cards, and much more...

I can't tell you how excited about this!! It is a work in progress, but hopefully over the next several weeks you will see it really evolve. I have added a feature that allows you to enter your email address (then confirm through their email), which automatically sends your email my latest blog entry...how cool is that?!

If you are in the mood for a little fun, feel free to check out my new creative blog at: doodledaze.blogspot.com. ENJOY!!

Mmmmmmm, Sour Face, Lemon!!

I always say each month was better than the last, and I stand behind that statement. Just when you think it can't get any better it does. Drew is at the stage where he is trying a lot of stuff. So, as you all have done I let him try a lemon. He has sampled one before, but this time we gave it to him to play with. I had to capture the moment, enjoy!

Thanks Mommy for the Lemon!

Big Bite, What did you give me Mommy?

Hmmm.. that Lemon has some after taste.

Here, you try it Mommy and and let me see your funny faces!

Our Trip To Iowa- Delayed Post

I totally forgot to post about our trip to Iowa..man where is my brain. Anyhow we took a short trip to Iowa to visit my family as we had not been back since May. We left on Thursday August 21 and returned home on Sunday August 24th. See I was so distracted because of Drew's new found mobility. Anyhow, enjoy a couple cute pics from the trip...We had a good time, but always exhausting after running around in an attempt to visit everyone, but it's worth it because it's important to me Drew knows the fam.
