Our Easter Fun...

Again a week has passed and I don't know where it went. I really have to find a way to slow down time. We had so much fun last weekend for Easter! Drew went to his first Easter Egg hunt after a practice run the night before in the house. Then he had his first visit special basket from Mommy....oh, I mean the Easter Bunny, shhh! I also had the honor of singing a trio with our Music Minister (Bill), and Lori Bynum. They are the most amazing singers!!

So, these pics are going to be of last weekend as a whole.. enjoy!

AIRPLANES, he stopped what he was doing to watch, just like Daddy... You can see Daddy joined in below..

HAPPY EASTER!!

Just a quick note to wish you all HAPPY EASTER! This is one of the most important days of the year as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

When Drew and I were playing outside the other day this tree stood out to me and reminded me about the importance of this weekend.

I am humbled by the thought that God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for me and you. Then He raised him from the dead three days later. In my heart I know this truth, but I think it really struck me this year because I have a son and I just couldn't imagine that sacrifice, could you?!

I wish you a blessed Easter Sunday and my prayer for you is that you take a moment to thank God for the sacrifice He made for us!

DREW's FIRST HAIRCUT!

Hello All, my world is starting to slow down, whoo hoo! After this Easter weekend I hope to get into a good groove again.

Drew got his first haircut this past Sunday April 5th, and he did pretty good overall. Thank goodness for the suckers! No, this would not be something I would normally give him, but I thought whatever works for this occasion! We went to Great Clips, where my favorite lady, Roxanne, works! The hardest part was getting him to keep the smock on, he kept tearing it off, so are you ready for this????? We put a sucker in both hands, which I am sure won't win the parents of the year award!!

Smock On...

Smock Off...first of many tries!
Mmmmm, sucker, it especially looked tasty with the hair stuck on it!

And the cut begins...
This face is priceless, he was looking at David!

This was the last picture I got because I had to hold his head for the buzzing!!! Which he somewhat put up with!

Okay I so wanted an after shot, but the buzzer about did him in, so you will have to see a pic from another day, coming soon..

BLOG Catch Up!!

Hello Again, I can't believe how much time has passed since I've blogged. Where did that time go? Oh, I can answer that, we are still trying to get out of the apartment, just a couple minor things left than the dreaded cleaning. The wrench in the plan is last Wednesday I started loosing my voice, which is still not back. Yesterday I actually started feeling sick for the first time, just can't win.

Now onto more upbeat stuff.. At the start of our move, which was the weekend of March 20th, David flew out to Idaho with his friend Scott to pick up the rest of our stuff and I drove to Iowa with Drew to visit the fam and of course do a little stamping with my favorite Iowa ladies. Here are some fun pics from the weekend...

LOUNGIN' LIKE A BIG BOY!!

Drew's figured out a few weeks ago that he LOVES to sit on the furniture, especially anything the rocks. He gets so excited when you put him on the chair, but the icing on the cake is when you put something down for him to step on, so he can get up on the chair himself. Such a big accpomplishment for this little man and is often followed by a big cheesy smile!

He also learned he can stand on the chair, I hate to admit it, but this was the day we implemented the dreaded counting, before timeout. There are times he just smiles, but usually by 5 he gets down. Such a dare devil!

DREW is 16 MONTHS!!

I hate to admit this but I was working on our MOPS calendar for next year and realized..."Uh Oh," as Drew would say, he is 16 Months old today. Okay I am usually right on top of these things, but as you can tell the move has put my brain in other places and I am not sure it is at its full functioning capacity right now... hmmmm...

So, let's get to the fun stuff... DREW! He is still a very funny boy! He definitely knows how to steal attention.

*He is still a big eater, but has no problem shaking his head no.

*He is also a "double fister" like his Mommy. I always have two drinks in my hands water and usually sweet tea, so now Drew always carries his water & milk cup.

*He is trying to repeat just about everything you say. My favorite is "Ah-Choo."

*He knows exactly when to say "Uh-Oh," and uses it often whether it was an accident or not.

*He loves to blow kisses and wave at everyone he sees, especially ladies...such a flirt.

*He LOVES tasks. He is our little helper, it is usually one of the only ways we can distract him (especially when doing something he is not suppose to). I think his favorite is throwing trash away or it could be shutting doors (whether you are still standing in the way or not)... such a helper.

*He gets beyond excited to walk up and down steps and has learned to hold Mommy's hand. I guess anyone would if they fell down two cement steps. ALthough at My Mom's house this past weekend he quickly learned he could crawl backwards down the steps or lean up against the wall walk down the steps sideways without help, talk about scary.

*He is soooooooooo independent and lets you know when you are needed!

The list could go on and on! We are beyond blessed with this little guy and I know God has great plans for him. Enjoy some more pics I took earlier today when we were outside playing in the yard. By the way he knew right where this lawn mower belonged...in the grass!

This was my favorite shot of the day!

Okay who think he looks so grown up here???
Quick MOVING Update: The move is still going and hopefully we will have everything out of the apartment this weekend, so we can spend next week cleaning. Please pray that happens, we are sooo exhausted!

A few weeks ago my friend Renee and her sis Dawn came up for a visit! We had a great time.. playing, shopping, swimming, and Drew got a few moments in Dawn's truck, which was the highlight for him!! Enjoy some pics..

Okay, he had enough... it was very windy!

NEW RENTAL HOUSE...Sneak Peak!

Hello All.. well most of you have heard, but we found a Rental House here in Missouri. After much prayer we decided this was the best decision at this point in our lives. Since our Idaho house will not sell anytime soon, but we are thankful for renters (paying 3/4th of the payment), and we can't get back to it (we really tried), we thought this was this next best thing as it truly seems this is where God wants us. Below are some pictures of it..

Living Room

SMALL Kitchen (does not come with a fridge, so we are trying to figure that one out)

The ONE bathroom

Full Basement (I have big plans for this space..office and workshop space)

This house is definitely going to teach us how to organize in more ways then one. It is a three bedrooms, one bath house, 2 car garage, fully fenced yard, and full basement, however the kitchen space is WAY smaller than our apartment. So, I need creative ideas on how to make more space... let me know your ideas! I will put pictures on here again in a couple months after we settle a little... the big move is the end of this month...eek!

A Visit From the South..

We recently were blessed to visit with our friends James & Alyson Lee, who were up here visiting from Oklahoma. They are planning a reunion this summer for their O'Fallon, IL church (First Baptist Church, O'Fallon) youth group.. I think David said it has been 20 years... eek! Their boys Garrett & Mason were so good with Drew, they played with him endlessly!

Enjoy these pics for Drew with Garrett & Mason... look at the adorable freckles!
