A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER...

Well, by now many of you have heard about our eventful travels to Washington! We originally started at 4am on Tuesday December 23rd. When we went to get Drew up and ready for the drive to the airport we discovered that he had thrown up sometime that morning and I don't just mean a little, it was ALOT!! So, we thought well maybe it was a one time encounter, but oh no we were so wrong. On our way to the airport Drew again began to throw up. So, we thought there is no way we can fly with him not feeling well. So, we rescheduled for Wednesday (Christmas Eve) so his tummy would have a day to settle, as that is how long it took the last time this happened....

He was fine the rest of the day on Tuesday, so we thought we had made a great decision to wait a day especially since he seems to be fine. We were OH SO WRONG! On our second attempt to the airport we were almost to our friend Erin's house (who was taking us to the airport), and low and behold I heard gagging from the back seat...you guessed it Drew was throwing up. We still thought, it has been 24 hours so that was definitely the end of it....WRONG AGAIN! After a six hour delay in the St. Louis airport, we were finally in the air..YIPPEE!! Our glee quickly came to an end when Drew threw up all over himself, me, and a little on the people behind us... Yuck right...now times that times FOUR. That is right he not only did it once, but four times. Needless to say by the time we reached Seattle, we had ruined the PJ's he was wearing, his jacket, socks, 2 additional outfits, my shirt & jeans, David's clothes, both blankets, and his Teddy Bear. The very nice Southwest Flight Attendance (whom we had on both flights) were wonderful and beyond helpful!

By the end we had our own trash bags for trash & clothes! Merry Christmas right?! The bottom line is we arrived here safe and sound. Drew is slowly getting back to normal and his appetite is slowly returning. We are pretty sure he had some food item he wasn't ready for, so back to the drawing board to figure out what!

Sorry if you are grossed out, I just couldn't resist sharing!! I really do hope your Christmas was blessed!!
