Hello Everyone, I am slowly getting back to the land of the living. As I write this I am looking at our newest addition and admiring how amazing our God is to create something so perfect. Our little sweetie was born on April 9, 2010 at 4:47 PM. He weighed in at 7lbs 14oz and was 20 1/2" long.
God has truly blessed me with wonderful pregnancies and births. I went into my doctor's appointment at 10:15 for an ultrasound (because I was 6 days overdue) where they discovered I only had one pocket of fluid left, which called for an immediate induction. When my doc checked me I was dilated to a "good" 3 and 70% effaced. So, I knew the induction was going to go well. There were some concerns about the fluid, but they proved not to be a problem in labor. My doctor broke my water at 2:45pm and just 2 hours and 2min's later we welcomed Evan. Labor was VERY quick and drug free, which I praise God for.
Evan is now just under 2 weeks old, which is crazy. He is a very content little man and has been a sleeper from the get go. He is already sleeping 6 hours straight at night and takes a couple great naps during the day. It is sooo nice especially since Drew cried for 4 months straight, or so it seemed.
So, all I can say is God is good....ALL THE TIME!
