DREW is 18 MONTHS!!

What? Yes, that is what I said he is officially 18 months old today. You are getting first sneak peek at some of his 18 month pics! I am still working on some editing, so bare with me..

Before we get to those Drew is continuing to learn so fast. The boy talks more than I do, is that even possible. I think he is going to be a big negotiator (with Daddy & Me) as he grows, which means we are in trouble...LOL! I was always told girls talk more and sooner than boys, but Drew definitely is an exception to the rule. Then again he really hasn't followed any of the books or rules his whole life so why start now.

The biggest thing he is doing now is forming sentences, not that we always know what he is saying, but he will repeat the same thing over and over again and end with the same word...usually Daddy, Car, and most recently Bella (or Beea). He tries to repeat just about everything we say, and it is so cute. Time to check what is coming out of our mouths. Drew still loves the movie Cars and let's just say I use to like it! What is neat is he has some of the parts memorized, especially when there is an "Uh Oh" as he says, anytime a car falls over. He now does that with his cars, he tips them over and says "Uh Oh!"

So, a not so proud Mama moment happened at a party Saturday, yes my son opened his mouth and showed me his "See Food." I take total blame for that!

Okay, so onto something more positive. Drew loves to help, at church he is such a big helper when it comes to cleaning up, and here at home he loves to help unload the dishwasher among other things. On the flip side he also loves to dump everything out as loudly as possible. Drew also loves to walk and run backwards, silly boy! Then he will spin and make himself dizzy, I tell you I just don't know who this kid belongs to, okay so I do...there is no denying he is my son, that is for sure.

Drew is still a good eater, but he is going through a picky stage, which might be because of all the teeth he is getting in. He went from November to April with only 6 teeth, which only started coming in in September. Since April he has had 5 more pop through, which include his Molars...ouch! Half of those teeth have popped through, but the other parts are still coming through, poor guy! Overall he has handled it well, he can get a little whiny and doesn't eat as much sometimes. But, he never has problems eating fruit snacks and anything with sugar, no that did not come from me...David's name is written all over it! A word to the wise don't let him try your Sweet Tea because you will NEVER get it back!

Okay now onto the pictures, boy am I long winded with this post!

Okay.. this one was just sweet!!

These pictures were taken over two days! This was definitely the hardest photo shoot I have done to date. I hope you enjoy these, I thought I got some good ones! Now onto the cropping and fun stuff!!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!

I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day as we celebrate those who have fought & defended our country.

We are having a nice relaxing weekend with Daddy being home from THREE days in a row, whoo hoo!! We went to the park yesterday and took some 18 month family pics, no peeky yet... sorry! I still have a few more to do before I can reveal them. Drew is a lot harder to get pictures of, man that boy is fast.

So let me lead you into this post... the first up is a video of Drew chatting and saying some words, he talks so much, the church nursery workers even commented on it yesterday. It is funny when he continually repeats the same thing, he is REALLY trying to tell us something. Usually it is a lot of gibberish then ends in "car" or "Daddy." I am still trying to get that on camera..

Now onto THE pictures... It was muggy the other day so we put Drew down for a nap in just his diaper, well let's just say that is the last time he will only wear a diaper. When I looked over at the video monitor he was standing up and it looked like he was naked, so I was just praying that he did not have a poopy diaper. My prayer was answered, however he did manage to pee out the crib, so it was down the side of the crib, on the floor, and whatever was on the floor... Oh, the memories we are making.. This is how cute he thinks he is... you have to admit he kind of is... LOL!!

FUN in the YARD!!

I love having toys in our backyard... okay I LOVE having a backyard. It is so nice not having to load up the kiddo and head to the park all the time, we have our own little park at home!

I am hoping if the weather permits, I can accomplish Drew's 18mo pics this weekend. My how times flies, I look at some of his outfits and remember a year ago thinking, he will NEVER fit into those...my baby won't get that big...it is inevitable isn't it?!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my little man. His personality is out of this world. He is so talkative and has the best expressions. He is truly a character and not shy at all!!

FUN at the PARK!!

On May 7th our MOPS group celebrated National Day of Prayer by going out into our community delivering baked goods... 98 dozen total! It was really fun! Afterwards we had a brown bag lunch picnic and play date at the park.

Drew really had no interest in playing with the toys or eating lunch for that matter. So our play date became a Drew & Mommy play date.. Oh, well it we still had fun!

One of his favorite parts of the day was chasing the ducks and running up and down the bridge. Man he is getting fast.

So, you are probably noticing the lovely band-aids on his forehead. Our little stunt man decided to rock the wrong way on his rocking chair and well.. it fell over backwards giving him a nice big scrape. I have a feeling he is just warming us up for more bumps and bruises in the future.

FUNNY BOY..

DUCK CHASING.. He LOVED the ducks!

A BOY'S BEST BUD!!

Howdy all! This is a quick post. David took this pic the other day and it was so adorable. Drew truly LOVES Bella and she loves him. It is funny throughout the day because Bella follows him around and he thinks she is chasing him. So they have tons of fun, not to mention she is our personal vacuum!

The video below is of Drew playing with keys, which he loves. As soon as David gets home from work Drew goes to him and reaches for keys. I think it is so funny that he just does that to Davo.. Enjoy the fun!!

BACK TRACK- Drew 17 Months

Sorry for the brief back track, but I realized I did not blog about Drew turning 17 months on April 26th. Although it may be old news to all of you, it is essential for me to write it down, so when I actually get back to scrapbooking I can just peek on hear and remember important dates and info.. So, bare with me.

17 MONTHS:

WORDS: Drew is talking more and more each day and is getting better at repeating what we say. He has also started to form sentences, crazy! Here are the words he says (you can clearly understand): Car, Bella, Daddy (not just DaDa anymore), Mommy, Ball, Balloon, Thank You, Bill (our Music Minister), Emma (our friend Courtney's 2 yr old), Bye Bye, Teddy, Cookie, Cracker, Nemo, Milk, Geese (one of his favorite words), Blue, Baby, No, keys, Knees

PHRASE: I Like/I Need... then something follows. I am trying to get this on video.

SOUNDS: (he says them at the right times): Uh Oh, Mmmmm, Ooooo, Uh Ah (will shaking his head no)

NEW FOODS (tried): I hate to admit that he loves sweet tea, corn on the cob (cut off of course), hot dog (not a fan), fruit snacks, jumbo rice crispies (a favorite), pretty much anything that is on our plates. Oh, and I can't forget sand (not a fan, LOL), dog food (not a fan of this either).

OTHER FUN INFO:

*Above you will see him in his new rocking chair, which I used when I was little. He loves this chair although he recently found out rocking on it backwards is dangerous since he fell face first on the floor and ended up with a big scrape.

*He loves to be chased by Bella

*He is a big helper not only at home, but also at church. He loves to help put things away.

*Not such a fun thing, he bangs his head on walls and the floor if he doesn't get his way...grrr...

*He has discovered his nose and is picking... sometimes blood follows. This will be a fun habit to try and break.

*He turns the TV on and asks to watch his FAVORITE movie, Cars! His favorite character is Mater.

*He drives his cars on everything... YES, he is still head over heels for cars! Although over the last month or so he has enjoyed watching airplanes in the sky, which he finds himself.

*Had his first ear infection with 103 temp.

*Had his first haircut on April 5th (this is in his 16th month)

*He loves to laugh, he even laughs on command.

*He got 4 new teeth in the month of April

*He loves books, on one of his flap books you can ask him where "9 spoons are" and he goes right to it. He gets all 10 objects right. You can also ask him where parts of a car are and he can show you: Wheels, Grill, & lights.

*He knows several body parts: Ears, Hair, Mouth, Tongue, Teeth, Ears, Knees (actually says this one), Belly, Hands, Fingers, Feet, Toes, and he can point to someone else's elbow.

I am sure I am forgetting something, but this is a good start! Thanks for going back in time with me.

Fun Play Date!

As I have said many times, I don't know where the time goes. We are reaching the end of year for our MOPS group as well as MDO. Crazy, huh? I am trying to slow time down, but I just haven't figured out the trick to doing that yet..I will let you know if I do. So, to catch you up on what is happening in our world..

We had a fun play date on April 30th with our MOPS group with a yummy lunch a Chickfil-a afterwards. It was at Rainbow Recreation, you know the people who make those awesome and very expensive swing sets. Anyhow, they open up their showroom during the week for only $5, which is cheap fun. They have something for everyone. Drew had an amazing time, and I learned very quick that he has no fear and can climb much better than I thought. Enjoy some pics...

OFFICIAL PHOTO SHOOT...Thanks Di!

I did my second official photo shoot for someone other than myself. I was very nervous going into it, but excited for the opportunity. My friend Di is surprising her sister with pics of her kids for Mother's Day. Here are "some" of my favorites from the shoot (by the way I took over 200 pics)! I was really happy with how these turned out, I hope you like them to!!
