Andrew started getting a little more cranky lately and after process of elimination, we thought..hmmmm... he just might be still hungry, which means more food. We started by increasing his formula supplement, which I do along with nursing. He used to get 2 bottles, one at lunch (4oz) and another at bedtime (5 oz), so we have upped the lunch time feeding to 5oz and added a morning bottle when needed.
By the way, David and I weighed and measured our little brick, he is weighing in at 15lbs and is about 27" long... WOW!!
Okay, here is where it gets fun.. we tried cereal this past Saturday because we read it was okay starting at four months if they show signs of being interested, not to mention all the other signs, which he fits most of. Our doctor also told us at our 2-month appointment we could try it at 4 months.. IT WAS FUN!! So, he had some Saturday, but was not quite sure.. then I gave it to him again today, Monday, and he went nuts, plus I walked away wearing some since he was kicking his legs in excitement and hit the bowl. I wish I had a video, but don't so you will have to take my word for it. We are only starting it once a day for now then will gradually increase it.. messy but oh so fun! Here are some pics from Saturday.
You will notice we are feeding it to him with a spoon...we did try it in a bottle, but he did not like it, I think it was just too hard to get! This is fine with me because I would rather he associates solids with a spoon. He does like to hold his own bottle though, go figure...independent!! Doesn't he just look like he is up to something, I wonder where he gets that from.
